"Paxlovid showed no significant reduction in the risk of all-cause mortality on day 28 and the duration of SARS–CoV-2 RNA clearance in hospitalized adult COVID-19 patients with severe comorbidities."
I have reflected frequently on what drives a doctor to become a "public health physician".
I feel there are deep chasms between the above, and most doctors, whose work is one-on-one, and whose advocacy is for the person sitting in front of them (though this has been pushed beyond its limits during Covid times).
Public health necessarily involves prioritising a bureaucratic machine over the individual, with participants in that machine adhering to a statism over individualism ethos.
This skirts very closely to Marxism and to me suggests a link between the authoritarianism of politicians, bureaucrats and big business.
Let us not overlook the strongest selling point: the "infrequent," dare we say "rare" viral relapse. Some people call it rebound. Get it again, treat it again.

Is that the one they give you here in Australia? Anyone who has taken that I know, said it made them feel worse than the virus did.
